COVID-19 – Payment Timeline and what Happens to your Money with GolfMatesTravel

First of all, we would like to reassure you that we are continuing to closely monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

If you have contracted COVID 19 then you do have the option to change the booking to a later date without incurring any amendment fees up to 72 hours prior to departure, proof of a positive test is required

If you decide that you no longer want to travel our normal cancellation policy will apply as per our terms and conditions. 

Your Payment Timeline with Golf Mates Travel

Step One: Making your booking

A £200 (non refundable) deposit will action Golf Mates Travel to make the booking on your behalf, with all details sent via email confirming what is booked – its vital to get your request in early for the very best tee times and accommodation availability and not be left disappointed with poor availabilities

Step Two: Upto 8 Weeks before travel

Final balance for your trip will be due 8 weeks prior to your departure, you will have until this date to move your holiday to a new date in the future without incurring any charges or admin fees, you can cancel your holiday upto this point and forfeit your £200 deposit

Step Three: Payment of your final balance – 8 to 4 Weeks

Once we have received your final balance you can still move your holiday to a future date but this must be done no later than 30 days before travel, no charges or admin fees will be charged but; your holiday could incur costs increases dependant on the date of the new booking.

You will have the option to receive the final balance back as a refund between 8-4 weeks before departure but this will incur a 10% cancellation fee and also you will forfeit the £200 non refundable deposit.

Step Four: Prior to Travel

30 Days to 14 Days prior to arrival the money for your trip will lie in the hands of the destination you have picked and a voucher only for the same trip in the future will be provided (additional costs may apply dependant on future dates required) and will be based on providing proof that travel is not valid through COVID19 or serious illness has affected you from travel.

Step Five: Less than 14 Days

If you decide to cancel less than 14 days before you travel all payments will be non retrievable and you will need claim on your own travel insurance.


You want to travel but cannot due to unforescene circumstances such as, lockdown, airline cancellation or postitive Covid19 Test prior to departure?

Upto 48 Hours before travel you will need to provide proof of, airline cancellation of flight and no alternative available, lockdown or postitive COVID19 test. On receipt of this proof you will be offered a voucher for a future holiday to the value of the monies paid.

48 Hours or less to travel the monies will be non refundable and payment will need to be sourced through your own travel insurance
